There are innumerable brands & products available in the market and it becomes very difficult for a normal person to decide what we should buy & what not. Is it going to suit us? Will it give me the desire coverage? Will it fit in my budget? And many other types of questions fill in your head. Today in this post I am going to break it down for you & answer all those questions, to make it easier for you to decide what you should buy & what not.

So, let’s get started.

Maybelline New York Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation

This is my personal all-time favorite foundation, it’s so comfortable on the skin. It feels like as if you are not even wearing any makeup. It looks natural & at the same time gives you a flawless skin. It’s meant for oily skin but if you are from a dry skin type then also prep your skin nicely, hydrate it & you are good to go.

It retails for Rs.500 for 30 ml of product but also comes in another variant which retails for Rs.299 for 18 ml so, if you want to try out first or you occasionally wear makeup, you can go for the smaller variant. But I would suggest that if you know your perfect shade & about the product wait for the sale coz that’s when you get the bigger version for a really less price. So that’s a win-win situation.

It has a shade range of 17 which is quite nice. You get shades for almost every skin tone be it light, medium or dusky.

I personally like this particular product, though it gives you a medium coverage but you can definitely build it up.

It stays for good 6-7hrs.

I would highly recommend it. You can check it out here

Maybelline New York Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation

This is again a bomb product by Maybelline & many beauty bloggers compare it with other high end companions. Talking about this particular product as it says It’s a full coverage which is actually very true. I mean in just one layer you get such a nice coverage that you won’t require anything else. You can again definitely build it up. It’s completely matte so, for oily skin people it’s a boon. But you have to be really quick with this foundation & work fast. Take a small amount & blend it on either side because if you dot it on your whole face & till the time you blend one side the other side will set in place & you won’t be able to blend it. So, consider that in mind.

It retails for Rs.750 for 30 ml of product.

It comes in 9 shade varients which is actually not the best variety of shades available for Indian skin tone & Maybelline should launch more shades in India as they have in other countries but if you find your perfect match then trust me you will love this product.

It claims that it stays for 24hrs but c’mon who would wear makeup for 24hrs but yes it does stays for really long & even if you wear it for 12hrs it will stay there nicely except for some places where you tend to oil faster, it will fade a bit but overall it looks good on the skin.

One thing more, what I have noticed is that on some people it oxidises 2-3 shades darker & it varies from person to person. So, if you are buying this foundation I would recommend you to buy a shade lighter & eventually it will oxidise & match your skin tone perfectly.

If you are looking for a foundation that is full coverage and as good as other high end products then you should definitely go for this one especially if you are from oily skin family. But for my dry skin beauties don’t get disheartened, if you really wanna try it, prep your skin nicely & mix a facial oil with it and then wear it. Hopefully it will help you with the dryness.

L’Oreal Paris Infallible 24h Foundation

Now this is one of the most hyped product which came before Maybelline super stay & is loved by most of people. L’oreal has amazing quality of products & this one is an awesome product.

It is supremely matte, long lasting & full coverage. It claims that it’s a 24hr foundation which actually is a key point coz it stays for a long-long time.

It retails for Rs.1200 for 30ml of product which I feel is a bit pricey because you get Maybelline superstay at a much lower price & is equally good. Then, it comes in just 7 shades which is a bummer for me because just 7 shades are not enough especially in India where we have so much of diversity.

I personally like this product but then you are getting other products at much cheaper price & more shade variety then why would I go for it? If you really wanna try this out then definitely go for it.

It’s a decent product but again there are cons which I have discussed earlier so it’s completely your choice and you have to decide whether you want to try it or not?

So, those were some of my favourite drugstore foundations. There are many other products as well which I will discuss in some other post.
